Hi Frances
I have just started having a look through this and I'm trying to
visualise where the electric car charging area is going to be. Is this
going to be near the VIC and if it is how are we going to deal with
car parking. Will this be relying on the parking that is currently
available on Bunga street that is alongside the Motor Inn. While at
the moment there is not a big need for the charging spot, I suspect in
the next couple of years onwards we will see this need increase
considerably and hopefully this plan can accommodate any
parking/waiting area required for a charging station.
Ensuring there is a height restriction on some of the planting areas
will be critical for people's peace of mind and if we are going to go
down the route of planter boxes? I'm assuming that there will be an
ongoing budget to ensure their maintenance or is this the
responsibility of the shop owners.
CheersGretel

	Hi Diane,

	I’m back in Bermagui now.

When would be a good time for you to catch up? Tomorrow is pretty
busy for me but Tuesday looks better. I’ll see if the urban designer
who drew up the draft plans, Cliff Abbott, can make it also once you
suggest some time.

	Cheers

	Frances

	Hi Dianne

Thanks very much for your email to the new Bermagui Community Mailing
List. You've made the first post.

Your views and those of all residents on possible Bermagui cbd plans
are very valuable.

You mention you're concerned about trees on Lamont St blocking the
view of the harbour. However, at present the draft plan shows medium
sized shrubs or small trees (like 2 meter high ficifolias) in planter
boxes at 15-20 metre intervals on the edge of the footpath in front of
the Lamont St shops. Such shrubs or small trees would grow to the
height of the existing shop awnings or less so they wouldn't cut out
any views for properties in streets behind Lamont St. On the other
side of Lamont St,  the idea on the draft plan is for a few low
shrubs around picnic tables to provide attractive settings in the area
in front of the harbour. Again these wouldn't block any views.

The draft plan also shows 4-5 medium height shade trees closer to
Dickinson Oval but these would be considerably lower than the tall
trees on the seaward sode of them around the surf club and the sand
dunes behind it so again could not block any harbour or sea views.

You can see the draft plans on the Bermagui Community Forum
website,  www.bermaguiforum.wordpress.com [2].

Would you like to meet with meet to discuss the plans and your ideas
for them in more detail?

	Cheers

	Frances
