Drawing and Painting from Nature
A Cobargo Creators workshop with tutor Lesley Wallington
Saturday July 14 and Sunday July 15, 2018
Cobargo School of Arts Hall, Corner of Cobargo St. and Bermagui Rd. Cobargo NSW
Saturday 9.30-4pm   Beachcombing     Shells, Pebbles, Seaweed, treasures from the beach
We will begin with some preliminary drawing as preparation for creating works in watercolour. There will be instruction on basic watercolour techniques such as working into wet, transparent layering and the use of wax crayon resist for effect.  We will aim to complete several studies, both impressions and more detailed style. Students are welcome to bring their own subjects or work from Lesley's .

Sunday 9.30-4pm Shorebirds   Crested Terns
Crested Terns are a familiar sight on our South coast beaches. This day will focus on understanding their nature and form and how to draw and paint them.  We will begin with some drawings and move on to watercolour using different techniques. Mostly we will work from photographs and aim to have a completed painting by the end of the day.

This workshop is suitable for students of all levels, beginners to experienced.
Fee $95 for one day or $190 for both days  (You can attend both days or choose just one).
You will need your own materials and a materials list will be provided on booking.
Morning and afternoon tea provided. Bring your own lunch or eat in the village.
