Community mailing lists are a growing social resource in the South East
region. In some communities they've been active for over a decade.

Mailing Lists provide direct communication within the community via email.
They help people organise events, share resources, trade, stay informed and
ask questions.

Over time, mailing lists build capacity and resilience in communities by
enabling everyone to have a voice and by creating more points of
intersection within the communities they serve.

SCPA-South East Producers <http://www.scpa.org.au/> sponsors these free
mailing lists by hosting them on the SCPA server and providing IT support.
The lists are moderated by locals and are entirely spam free and 100%
reliable using the Open Source Mailman list management system.
