[Bermagui Community] Cardboard in bulk in bales.

Hello,

We’ve got access to large ‘bricks’ of compressed cardboard. 2m x 1m x 1m

They’re free to you except for transport which we’re working out based on
demand.

There is no plastic tape and no staples. Pure fibre. There will be some
ink. No further specs available.

These are very good to help you make raised garden beds, cover big zones
and follow with rice straw or chip. Some nitrogen will need to be added to
help it break down. Eg blood and bone.

I haven’t opened one yet but I think one brick would cover about 1/2 (half)
a tennis court as a minimum.

Over 12 months this method brings a squillion worms and other crawly
critters, good soil moisture and a great bed for tree planting or veg. It
will also provide habitat for snakes of course, who munch on the frogs that
end up living there. Children warning.

Please let me know by the weekend if you want a bale. These are
continuously available.

Only whole bales available from Cobargo. Transport would be $20-$30 as they
weigh 500kg each.

You must have a trailer or ute for pickup. No delivery. No station wagons,
no boots or back seats! Collect Cobargo tba.

These are serious big heavy bales!

Cheers

Geoffrey
