The Cobargo and District Energy Transition group (CaDET) has a unique and
exciting opportunity for a Community Energy Coordinator to lead management
and delivery of the Cobargo Community Energy Project (CCEP). This project
aims to improve resilience, reduce emissions and generate local economic
benefits through greater use of renewable energy and improved energy
efficiency.


The Community Energy Coordinator will deliver a program of energy-focused
community development activity that will also contribute to bushfire
recovery, help restore community morale and strengthen social cohesion.


The Coordinator is a full time position until 31 March 2024 to be located
in the Cobargo main street in a new community-owned Business Hub being
developed as part of the recovery from the Black Summer bushfires. The
Coordinator will report to the management committee of Cobargo and District
Energy Transition Inc, known as Renewable Cobargo. The position is funded
through the Australian Government’s Black Summer Bushfire Recovery Grants
program as part of the Cobargo Community Energy Project.
