Youth Educational Support Service, YESS, is seeking new volunteer tutors to give one and a half hours a week in Bermagui, Cobargo and 4 other local primary and high schools . See our website, <a href="http://www.yess.org.au">www.yess.org.au</a>. <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal style='margin-top:6.0pt;line-height:150%'>Working closely with the schools and the NSW Education Department, YESS uses MULTILit, a highly effective program developed by Macquarie University to provide one-on-one literacy tutoring for students, see <a href="http://www.multilit.com">www.multilit.com</a>. The NSW Education Department provides new YESS tutors a day of MULTILit tutor training and YESS provides further support. This year MULTILit training will occur on 27 February.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal style='margin-top:6.0pt;line-height:150%'>You need no formal background in teaching for this important task, just a willingness to help children. Tutoring starts in mid-February and continues during term time.
