<p><span lang="EN-US">Dear Community my name is Carolyn (Raven's partner),</span><br></p><div><span lang="EN-US">I hope you are all doing well considering the
tough times experienced so far this year in 2020. It has been a rollercoaster
of emotions and I hope everyone is coping during this time of isolation.</span><br></div><p style="mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto"><span lang="EN-US">I would like to make a proposal to those in the community that may
be interested in participating in an art project I am working on called
‘Containment’. </span><br></p><p style="mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto"><span lang="EN-US">The emotions from the impact of the recent bush fires are still very
raw for a lot of people and I think a lot of us are still processing the
events. Visual Art is a constructive way in which to </span><span style="mso-bidi-font-family:"Times New Roman";mso-ansi-language:EN-AU">channel
and transform some of the emotional pain, anxiety and frustration felt by the
community (including myself) during these stressful and uncertain times.</span><br></p><p style="mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto"><span style="mso-bidi-font-family:"Times New Roman";mso-ansi-language:EN-AU">For this
project I am interested in exploring the parallels between the recent Bush
Fires and Covid-19. We kept hearing the officials talk about fire mitigation
and containment lines and then for Covid-19 we needed to contain the virus, and
for that I am particularly interested in the idea of boxes and containment and
the role that boxes have in had in both scenarios, the differences in their
contents and what they signify. During the fires there was a frantic urgency to
pack boxes in which the most necessary and precious items were placed, in
parallel to Covid-19 where there is less urgency and more time to unpack boxes.
The objects that became "valuable" during lock down had changed to
those valuable during the fires, like paperwork or passports and is replaced
with jigsaw puzzles and puzzle books or online orders; but some objects have
appeared in both scenarios like the dreaded protective face mask that ties both
unprecedented events together.</span><br></p><p style="mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto"><span lang="EN-US">By answering some questions related to both incidences </span><span style="mso-fareast-font-family:"Times New Roman";mso-bidi-font-family:
"Times New Roman"" lang="EN-US">and from the collected feedback from your answers, </span><span lang="EN-US">I hope to create a video piece</span><span style="mso-fareast-font-family:"Times New Roman";mso-bidi-font-family:"Times New Roman"" lang="EN-US"> that will replicate the various contents and scenario of the boxes related to
both events. </span><span lang="EN-US">The final artwork will then be presented
online, following the social distancing protocols.</span><span style="mso-fareast-font-family:"Times New Roman";mso-bidi-font-family:"Times New Roman"" lang="EN-US"> </span><span lang="EN-US">Your privacy will be respected at all times and names
