We encourage you to complete the survey by end of October.<br>

A group of Bermagui community members are working to save the iconic one-lane timber based bridge at Cuttagee. They are concerned that Bega Valley Shire Council wants to demolish the bridge so as to turn Tourist Road 9 into a freight corridor, with more heavy freight vehicles using the coast road from Tilba to Tathra through Bermagui. This poses a threat to all the other one lane-bridges on the road.<br>
<br>
<strong>Council\u2019s current policy is to demolish Cuttagee Bridge and replace it with a \u2018two-lane concrete structure\u2019. </strong><br>
<br>
We\u2019d like to hear from you about what you think of these proposed changes. Ideally Council wants the Group to meet on a face to face basis.<br>

Council wants to work with the community to find the best solution for Cuttagee Bridge. The community will have to weigh up the various issues, including risk and safety, durability, economics, heritage and tourist values and environmental issues.</span></span>
