[Bermagui Community] Cobargo Seed Savers this Tues 27th Feb

Hello Everyone



If you’ve grown tomatoes this year that you’ve really enjoyed, why not learn how to save the seeds and grow them again next year?  Just bring one along to our next gathering on Tuesday 27th February and we’ll show you how.  You will need to pick one of your best tomatoes and keep it to ripen on the plant, just past eating stage, so that the seeds mature.  Oh yeah … and the tomato needs to be an open-pollinated variety, not a commercial hybrid one!



We’ll also be harvesting seeds from celery and Cos lettuce at our next gathering.  So if you can help out, that would be really great!



When?  Tuesday 27th February

Time?  10am – 12pm

Where?  River & Tam’s place, 18 Blackbutt Drive, Cobargo (off Charlotte St, opposite the Cobargo preschool)



Note: if you are helping with printing for seed packaging and are bringing a computer along, please arrive for a 9.45am start to get everything up and running ahead of time.



Everyone is welcome, definitely no experience required.  BYO nibbles to share for morning tea.  Coffee and tea provided.
