[Bermagui Community] Bach's Birthday Open House play-in at Cobargo Community Hall on 24 March 2018

Hi there,

You might be interested in coming to a free event that local recorder
ensemble, *Lumiere*, is holding on the morning of Saturday 24 March 2018 in
Cobargo, at the Community Hall.

*Lumiere *is hosting an Open House play-in to celebrate Bach's (J.S that
is) 333rd birthday as part of the global, Bach in the Subways, movement (
bachinthesubways.org).  The play-in will be between 9am - 12 noon (see
attached flier).


*Lumiere* will be playing some of the Bach pieces that *we* are working on
and we are inviting musicians and singers of all ages and abilities to come
along with Bach pieces that they are playing/singing and love.  It will be
an open, friendly and non-judgemental environment in which we will
celebrate Bach's beautiful music.  You can also play along with us - we
will be playing several very well known chorales and the Orchestral Suite
no 3 (all in SATB parts) - and I can send you the music beforehand on PDF.


I hope you can join us - the more instruments the merrier!

PS.  Last year an Early Music one-day workshop was held at *Four Winds in
the Windsong Pavilion*. We are now planning the next one for
Saturday/Sunday 14-15 July 2018, in the same venue - this year it will be a
2 day workshop, which will give us more time to explore those wonderful
renaissance rhythms!  Save the date!
