[Bermagui Community] Cobargo Seed Savers' Divide and Swap in July

Hi Community



Come along to our Divide and Swap Day at the next Cobargo Seed Savers gathering in July.



What’s a Divide and Swap?  Some veggies and other plants grow from clumps, tubers and bulbs, rather than from seeds – e.g. rhubarb, turmeric, berry canes, strawberries, yacon, arrowroot, Vietnamese mint, lemongrass, horseradish.  You can bring along the divided plants from your garden and swap or share them with other folk in the community - a great opportunity to find out about varieties that grow well in our neighbourhood, share some stories, get some growing tips!



When?:   Tuesday 31st July, 10am – 12pm

Where?:  River and Tam’s place, 18 Blackbutt Drive Cobargo



So, dig up and divide those rhubarb crowns, split those turmeric tubers, break up those yams and bring your surplus along to the Divide and Swap Day in Cobargo!



Don’t forget to bring along some bags, boxes, wetted newspapers to wrap up your goodies to take home, and if you feel like bringing a plate of something to share with morning tea, that’d be great!

Coffee and tea are provided.
