Good morning community

This is an update to let you know what is happening at Quaama Drop-In and the activities that Quaama Renewal Projects has available.

Quaama Drop-In

Our Wednesday drop -in space continues to operate in the supper room of Quaama School of Arts Hall. You can call in anytime between 10am and 4pm for a cuppa and a chat and to participate in any of the activities happening on the day. Anyone can use the space - we welcome people new to the area to join us and learn about all that is happening in our community.

  * We are still being visited by services including NSW Health Bushfire Recovery clinician Erin, Anglicare chaplain Garry, Julia from Reclink as well as other support services.
  * OzHarvest food rescue delivers what they can from the businesses on their collection lists. Sometimes we receive a lot of food and a good variety and other times it is less - but there is usually something!
  * We encourage anyone with garden bounty to bring it in to share with anyone in need
  * Art and craft supplies are available for spontaneous making and our Art therapy sessions with Ozlem are returning on Wednesday afternoons.
  * Books, cds, dvds are available on the hall veranda for swapping or taking.
  * There is always work to do in the hall and the gardens if you want to.

Activities

Reclink is running three free movement based activities in Quaama for anyone in the community who wants to participate:

  * Walking Group - every Monday from 10.30am. Meet at the front of the hall. Bring water and a hat.
  * Zumba - at the hall every Wednesday from 9.45am. Bring water, wear comfy clothes and shoes.
  * Minding the Mayhem - a program to energise the body, increase wellbeing and calm the mind. Every Friday at the hall from 2-3pm
