[Bermagui Community] Chop Chat Chew cooking groups, Quaama, Bemboka, Eden

Hello all, we are taking bookings for the FREE Chop Chat Chew cooking groups which are starting next month. In each location (Bemboka, Quaama and Eden) each group runs for 5 weeks. Everything is supplied: a workbook, recipes, ingredients. There are two leaders for each group - experienced cooks, but more importantly, encouraging and kind.  We want to run groups in Bega and other areas as well, but we are limited by the number of volunteer leaders and their availability.  The purpose of these groups is to reduce isolation, and to bring together people for a fun and nourishing activity. Everyone is welcome.

We will cook a range of foods as well as recipes participants want to try out. The program is very flexible and participant-focussed. Some of the recipes we may use include:

  *   rosti
  *   eggs shakshuka
  *   rice paper rolls
  *   pizza with no yeast pizza base
  *   home-made oven wedges
  *   Moroccan chicken
  *   Moroccan vegetables
  *   French carrot salad
  *   Apple & carrot muffins
  *   pumpkin soup
  *   easy tuna bake
  *   Sweet potato, onion and cheese pie
  *   Mini pavlovas
Nutrition, budgeting, buying wisely, food safety will be included as well in the 3 hour sessions.
